                                            Mary Harris drew the winning eagle that was placed on the Oak Hill Junior High School Indiana Four Star School t-shirt in 2011.  Thanks to all students who participated in the drawing contest.  There were many fine drawings.  Mary received a free t-shirt for her efforts.


                                            Students are creating Fundreds to support raising funds for Project Dirt, which is aimed at removing lead from our Nation's soil especially the soil in school playgrounds.

                                            Junior High Art Students supported the Super Bowl XLVI with their designs on cards welcoming visitors to Indianapolis.  Students received the card format from www.IndianapolisSuperBowl.com and filled it with their own designs and messages.  Thanks to all who participated! 


                                            Casey's Juried Art Show for artists age 5-13 was on display at Minnetrista in Muncie from April 19 - May 6, 2011.  All students who brought in the signed permission slips were included.  See site address below for more information.  Click on Minnetrista exhibit in the blue bar above to view student art entries.

                                            Congratulations to Austin Wade for his honorable mention in the Purdue Bug Bowl. Festivities were held on the weekend of April 9-10, 2011 and art entries were  exhibited through the following week.  Click address below for more information and exhibit of award winners.  2011 Oak Hill Junior High entries are on Bug Bowl art page listed above.  A print of Austin's work is framed and to be hung in the junior high.

                                            Congratulations
                                            to the following Oak Hill art students who received gold keys for their art in the 2011 Northeast Indiana Northwest Ohio Scholastic Art and Writing Competition.  Their work was on display at the Ft. Wayne Museum of Art from February 12 to April 10, 2011.  Prints of their work are framed and to be hung in the junior high.
